Aaron’s Dresden Plate, Raised August 17, 2014
“Aaron’s Dresden Plate” Owner, Linda Hamblin, 126 South Hill, Versailles, KY. In Remembrance of Aaron Hamblin, the family of Aaron Hamblin asked the quilt trail to paint Dresden Plate with these colors. Aaron was the President of the Woodford Habitat for Humanity and the biggest supporter of the Woodford County Quilt Trail. The Dresden Plate was a favorite of Aaron’s mother and she often hand pieced and quilted this pattern for her family. The quilting tradition is rich in the Hamblin family and the quilt trail is honored to know them. We raised this quilt August 17, 2014 and many of Aaron’s Habitat friends stopped by to help with the raising.
